Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team, where you will play a crucial role in automating and optimizing our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will leverage your expertise to enhance our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our applications hosted on AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline, ensuring seamless application delivery.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement solutions using AWS CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, and other monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and scalability, employing best practices in cloud architecture.
  • Implement security best practices across the AWS environment, including IAM roles, security groups, and encryption strategies.
  • Participate in architectural reviews and provide recommendations for the continuous improvement of our cloud systems.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role, specifically with AWS services and tools, especially with analytical data.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate tasks.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, cloud security, and best practices in AWS.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Experience with serverless architectures and AWS Lambda.
  • Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

  • Deep expertise in AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and IAM.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and methodologies for application deployment.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.

Soft Skills and Cultural Fit

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Salary range: $75k to $95k

Location

A successful candidate will be expected to work from the office at least 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
