Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join our innovative engineering team at FURE Technologies. In this role, you will leverage your deep expertise in cloud architecture to design, implement, and optimize scalable, highly available, and secure cloud environments on AWS. You will champion best practices in cloud infrastructure and lead initiatives that drive operational excellence and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements, ensuring alignment with AWS best practices and security standards.
  • Lead the design and deployment of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Optimize existing cloud environments for performance and cost, conducting regular assessments and recommending improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud governance policies and procedures.
  • Mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge on cloud technologies, architectural patterns, and operational practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues, leveraging AWS tools and services for monitoring, logging, and incident response.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience working with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable cloud architectures leveraging microservices, serverless, and containerization.
  • Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and orchestration.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and compliance frameworks in cloud environments.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable.

Preferred:

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring solutions like CloudWatch or Datadog.
  • Experience in hybrid cloud setups and multi-cloud environments.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

  • Deep expertise in AWS services, including IAM, Route 53, and CloudFront.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts, including VPN, Direct Connect, and security groups.

  • Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Benefits and Perks

Salary range: $75k to $95k

Location

A successful candidate will be expected to work from the office at least 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days.
