Role Overview

As a Lead Server Administrator at FURE, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining our server infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability for advertisers. You will lead a team of administrators in implementing best practices for server management while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to support our innovative technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust server architectures utilizing virtualization, cloud services, and on-premises solutions to meet organizational needs.
• Lead a team of server administrators, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Oversee performance monitoring and capacity planning to ensure high availability and reliability of server systems.
• Manage system upgrades and patching processes to maintain security compliance and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to enforce security policies, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for server configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Serve as the point of escalation for complex server issues, utilizing advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve problems efficiently.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in server administration, with a strong background in Windows and Linux environments.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.
• Deep expertise in managing virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and firewall configurations.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef to streamline server management tasks.

Preferred:

• Experience in the Advertising industry or related field
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Relevant certifications, such as MCSE, RHCE, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, are a plus.

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies

• Expertise in server hardware, storage solutions, and backup strategies.
• Strong scripting skills in languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.
• In-depth knowledge of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or DataDog.

Benefits and Perks

Salary range: $75k to $95k
